Vacancy Preview
The Vacancy Detail component only displays vacancies that are considered live. A vacancy is classified as live if the following conditions are met:
- The opening date is today or in the past.
- The closing date is today or in the future.
- The access to the vacancy is set to either internal, external, or both.
If these conditions are not met, the Vacancy Detail component will not display the vacancy.
In such cases, you can use the Vacancy Preview feature, which allows you to view any vacancy regardless of its live status.
One-time Setup
To use the Vacancy Preview feature, a one-time setup is required. Ensure that the Recruiting Integration is fully configured beforehand. You can follow the Step-by-Step guide for assistance.
In MindKey, navigate to Recruitment -> Setup -> Publishing -> Recruitment Site Parameters. Locate the field named "Preview URL" and enter the URL of the page where the Vacancy Detail component is used.
To get this URL, visit your webpage that contains the Vacancy Detail component.
For example, if the URL is https://example.com/vacancy-details?id=great-vacancy, copy the entire URL up to and including the query parameter, but exclude its value.
In this case, the URL to enter would be https://example.com/vacancy-details?id= (make sure to include the = at the end).
Once you have entered the URL, save the settings.
Previewing a Vacancy
To preview a vacancy in MindKey, open any vacancy and go to the Advertisement tab. Click the "Preview" button in the action bar at the top of the screen. This will open a new window displaying how the vacancy will appear, based on the previously set Preview URL.
Using the "Preview" button will save the vacancy in the same way as the "Save" button.
If you preview a live vacancy, any changes you make will be immediately applied.
