Microsoft Power BI Online
Requirements
Before integrating the MindKey Connector API with Microsoft Power BI Online, ensure you meet the following requirements:
- Microsoft Entra ID User Account: You must have configured a Microsoft Entra ID user account to authenticate and authorize API requests.
- An additional license from Microsoft might be needed to use Microsoft Power BI Online

In order to use the MindKey Connector API from Power BI Online you need to create a "Dataflow Gen2" Data factory. With that employee data is essential copied and stored at Microsoft Datacenters. Please check with your compliance and IT department before continuing!
Steps for Integration
Step 1: Open Microsoft Power BI Online
- Open Microsoft Power BI Online and sign in.
- Navigate to a workspace or create a new one.
Step 2: Create a Dataflow Gen2 Data factory
- In the workspace click on "New" and then on "More options"
- In the "Data Factory" section click on "Dataflow Gen2"
- In the "New query" group click on "Get data" and select "more"
- In the "Choose data source" dialog search for "OData" and select "OData"
Step 3: Create a connection and authenticate using Microsoft Entra ID
- In the "connect to data source" dialog enter the URL for the MindKey Connector API https://connector.mindkey.com/odata/v2
- In the "Connection" dropdown select "Create new connection"
- In the "Authentication kind" dropdown select "Organizational account"
- Click on "Sign in" and authenticate using your Microsoft Entra ID credentials.
- Click on "Next"
Step 4: Load and publish your data
- Once Microsoft Power BI Online successfully connects to the MindKey Connector, select the tables or fields you need.
- Click on "Create"
- You can now filter and transform the data.
- In right bottom corner select or create a new "Data destination"
- Once you are done, click on "Publish"
You can now create reports based on the data that is stored in the selected "Data destination"
