Microsoft Dataverse

Requirements

Before integrating the MindKey Connector API with Microsoft Dataverse, ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • Microsoft Entra ID User Account: You must have configured a Microsoft Entra ID user account to authenticate and authorize API requests.
  • An additional license from Microsoft might be needed to use Microsoft Dataverse

Using the MindKey Connector API in Microsoft Dataverse will essential copy and store employee data at Microsoft Datacenters. Please check with your compliance and IT department before continuing!

Steps for Integration

Step 1: Open Microsoft Power Apps

Step 2: Create a data flow to import data

  • In the tables section click on "Import" and select "Import data"
  • In the "Choose data source" dialog search for "OData" and select "OData"

Step 3: Create a connection and authenticate using Microsoft Entra ID

  • In the "connect to data source" dialog enter the URL for the MindKey Connector API https://connector.mindkey.com/odata/v2
  • In the "Connection" dropdown select "Create new connection"
  • In the "Authentication kind" dropdown select "Organizational account"
  • Click on "Sign in" and authenticate using your Microsoft Entra ID credentials.
  • Click on "Next"

Step 4: Load and publish your data

  • Once Microsoft Power Apps successfully connects to the MindKey Connector, select the tables or fields you need.
  • Click on "Next"
  • You can now filter and transform the data.
  • Once you are done, click on "Next"
  • In the "Map tables" dialog configure table mapping from OData to Dataverse
  • Once you are done, click on "Next"
  • In the "Refresh settings" dialog configure how the data should be refreshed
  • Once you are done, click on "Publish"

You can now create Microsoft Dataverse apps based on the data that is transferred
